Players once again enter a magical world where anything is possible, political intrigue abounds, and fearsome creatures roam the wilderness. Picking up where the previous game, Morrowind, left off, Oblivion begins with the emperor of Tamriel dying. With the throne empty, the empire beings to crumble. Seeing their opportunity, the evil demon lords open the gates of oblivion and begin to march their armies into Tamriel, destroying everything in their path. The empire has only one hope: the lost heir to the throne. Players must find this heir before its too late. Like the previous ELDER SCROLLS games, players have nearly total freedom in designing their character. They can make him/her a powerful sorcerer, muscular warrior, crafty thief, sinister assassin, or a combination of classes. All of these decisions affect how players will accomplish the numerous tasks in the game. Oblivion goes out of its way to make the world its set in seem real. While in other RPGS, NPC characters simply stand around or repeat the same actions over and over, Oblivion?s towns are filled with characters who eat, sleep, move around, and may even die as the game progresses. This realism, in addition to the amazing storyline, graphics, and gameplay, make Oblivion one of the most incredible RPGs of all time.
